Are you a company already using vr?
Let us show you how to make VR more efficient and more fun, for you and your customers.
The Limbic Chair VR is a safe and compact, hands-free navigation device for VR
We humans are designed to use our legs for navigation, while our hands and eyes focus on work, play, communication, and other complex tasks.
The Limbic Chair VR was developed based on these principles.
Like the Limbic Chair, it allows for independent leg movement without interfering with hand or gaze positioning and -function.
It can be used as a universal input device, equating the function of 1.5 joysticks.
Contrary to most common VR navigation devices, it is a simple, compact desk chair that is safe to use and requires no extra space.
While sitting safely and comfortably working at your desk, you can navigate in 3D using your legs, the way evolution designed us.
Let your body interact
Let your body interact with the virtual world to make navigation more intuitive and more immersive.
Free your hands and eyes to work, play, explore, and to do other relevant tasks.
Let your hands and eyes/ gaze direction focus on work and play, while your legs do the navigation part independently on their own – like in real life.
Non-VR applications
‘Spacial tasks’ like zooming, scrolling, rotating and panning a screen object are more easily done with your legs than with your hands.
Using your legs to do these spacial tasks frees your hands and takes strain off your mind.
For CAD, editing of images, MRIs, text, and more – the connected Limbic Chair VR can help improve your workflow and efficiency.
Sensors in the chair
Sensors in the chair track your thigh movements. These signals are then processed by the chair’s electronics and sent to your device wirelessly or by USB cable.
You can configure your Limbic Chair VR to act like a whole range of serial (mouse and keyboard), and HID devices (joystick, gamepad, etc.)
Native integration to your software of choice by request (where possible).
Works with existing VR setups and content – and we can create content for you (see below)
The Limbic Chair is designed to work with existing VR content and hardware.
We also design simple games and interfaces as well as complex scenarios with demanding graphics, game-mechanics, music, and sound effects.
The Limbic Chair VR is made from carbon fiber and aluminum in order to withstand continuous professional operation.

Are you an artist, a developer, or a university?
We offer special conditions to those who explore new applications and use cases for the Limbic Chair VR.
EASY SETUP
The Limbic Chair VR works with popular VR systems currently on the market.
It is configurable to mimic a mouse, keyboard, joystick, gamepad, and many other input devices.
It connects with your computer, Smartphone or other device with USB or wirelessly through WiFi.
LIMBIC CHAIR VR SHELLS
The shells of the Limbic Chair VR come in two sizes: large and small. The shells have been optimized to fit many different types of people, while providing the feedback and support needed to comfortably navigate through VR and control screen content.
Each pair of shells is hand made from carbon fiber in Switzerland. We chose carbon fiber because it is light, durable, elegant, and has ideal heat-conducting properties for a chair.
LIMBIC CHAIR VR CHASSIS
The chassis of the Limbic Chair VR is assembled by hand from pieces of milled aluminum blocks and high strength steel for optimal performance and durability.
In order to optimize the Limbic Chair for use with VR goggles, we also offer a solid, non-movable base and a non-turning column for maximal responsiveness and safety.
LIMBIC CHAIR VR COLOR OPTIONS
The standard Limbic Chair VR comes in black with natural carbon fiber shells and a black or aluminum office chair base.
Exclusive to the Limbic Chair VR are the color options Poison Ivy and Cookie Monster, which include a black solid base.
VR CONTENT
We create VR content specialized for the additional functionality the Limbic Chair VR.
We also help you create native adaptations of the Limbic Chair VR for your software (where possible).
For VR, CAD, image processing, gaming, simulators, aeronautics, research, and many other applications.
Siemens PLM Software & Technology Partnering Program
Limbic Life is part of the Siemens PLM Software & Technology Program. Our goal is to develop new CAD- and VR usability solutions based on Limbic Chair VR technology. The same way the Limbic Chair VR can be used to navigate a user’s point of view through VR in 3D, it can be used to move the point of view or objects in CAD, freeing up a hand and giving the user a more intuitive, improved workflow.

Like every new technology, implementing VR can be challenging.
Nauseation, stress, and fatigue are common, especially if long periods of time have to be spent in VR.
We are eager to share the knowledge we have gained to help you get the best out of your VR experience.
